Cant download minecraft mod from twitch

Tried to reinstall the twitch app (also deleted all folders etc), change the pack version to install a beta instead of full release and other settings aswell. I feel like there is a specific solution to this which I'm just not aware of, haven't played minecraft in ages so hoping to find a fix quick. As a workaround, you can install MultiMC and manually download the pack from curseforge, then import that file into a new instance in MultiMC. The only downside to this is you won't get updates to the pack without jumping through some hoops. There is some info out there about symlinks and twitch/multimc. 1. level 1.
