Generally it's best to use Remove unless you're really low on drive space. Having to redownload very large mods like SMIM sucks. Keep in mind using "Remove Installed" will take longer the more mods you've downloaded. You probably won't notice until you have several hundred downloaded files, but it's fastest to just remove individually.
